Columbus Enquirer, 1845
Departed this life at the residence of Henry Pruett in Muscogee County, January 
19th, after a painful illness of 15 days which she bore with Christian fortitude, 
Mrs. Amanda M. Pruett, consort of William R. Pruett and daughter of Major P. L. 
Weeks of Harris County, aged 20 years. She left a devoted husband and one infant 
child. 

Additional Comments:
Amanda had been married to William Rees Pruett son of Henry Pruett of Muscogee 
County in Feb of 1844.

The infant she left was a daughter, Mary Amanda Pruett who later was married to 
Francis Marion Talley in Harris County in 1861.
