Mrs. Louise Goodlett Roberts wife of Firm Roberts died at City Hospital at midnight Wednesday after an illness of four weeks. She was fifty-six years old. Mrs. Roberts was born at Apalachicola, Fl but had lived practically all of her life in Columbus. She was associated with her husbands business for twenty- six years, making a host of friends. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Oak Lawn Chapel with Dr. J. Calvin Reid officiating. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be active: Lt. Col George Riley, Lt. William Riley, C. Ed. Cooper, Harold Brannon, R. L. Cauley and Frank Richelson. Honorary pallbeares will be Gen. George H. Weams, J. B. Key, Sr, Dr. Will Mayhu, Eugene Brennen, Dr. O. C. Brennen, T. K. Peabody, W. W. Moye and Joe Blackmon. Mrs. Roberts leaves her husband, Firm Roberts, two brothers, R. W. and Hiram Goodlett of Al, a daughter, Mrs. Allen Thayer, two sons, Firm, Jr and Cullen, three grandsons, Allen, David and John Thayer and several nieces and nephews.
