Robert Huston Shellhouse

 January 19, 2013
 Columbus, GA- Robert Huston Shellhouse, 87, passed away on Saturday, January 
19, 2013 at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA.
 Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, January 21, 2013 at Weems Road 
Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Prickett officiating, according to 
Vance-Brooks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at The New Life 
Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends this 
evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. His grandsons will serve as 
pallbearers.
 Mr. Shellhouse was born on November 23, 1925 in Randolph County, GA, son of 
the late Wesley Shellhouse and Nellie Renew Shellhouse. He was a mechanic for 
Burnham Van Service for most of his career and was a member of Weems Road Free 
Will Baptist Church. 
Other than his parents, Mr. Shellhouse was preceded in death by three sisters, 
Mable Shellhouse Godwin, Gladys Shellhouse Gilmer and Annie Laura Shellhouse; 
two brothers, Hubert Shellhouse and Hugie Shellhouse.
 Mr. Shellhouse is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Agnes Vivan 
Lockhart Shellhouse of Columbus, GA; two daughters, Judy Shellhouse Hargrove 
and husband Douglas of Covington, GA and Donna Shellhouse Edwards and husband 
Bill of Phenix City, AL; one son, Robert Allen Shellhouse and wife Angi of 
Smiths Station, AL; two sisters, Wessie Bea Shellhouse Shattles and Grace 
Shellhouse Milner Lee; one brother, Wallace Q. Shellhouse; nine grandchildren, 
Chadwick Hargrove, Craig Hargrove, Matthew Hargrove, Jarrett Hargrove, Amy 
Edwards, Blake Edwards, Jim Edwards, Andrew Shellhouse, and Sydney Shellhouse; 
nine great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
 The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff of Columbus Hospice. In 
lieu of flowers donations may be made to Weems Road Free Will Baptist Church, 
3400 Weems Road, Columbus, GA 31909.
