James Rayford Spann, 67, of 306 S. 16th Ave., Phenix City, died Friday at Cobb Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at colonial Funeral Home chapel with burial in Parkhill Cemetery. Mr. Spann was born Dec. 4, 1910, in Henry County, Ala., son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel W. Spann. He was a member of silver Run Baptist Church and was a retired textile worker. Survivors include wife, Florence; two daughters, Mrs. Oudia Munoz, San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Louise Randall, Columbus; a step-daughter, Mrs. Joyce Murphy, Phenix City; two sons, Andrew D. Spann, Phenix City, and James W. Spann, Seale; a step-son, Sgt. 1st Class Eulis Coker, fort Lewis, Wash.; four sisters, Mrs. Mete Jacobs and Mrs. Loyd Johnson, both of Columbus, Mrs. Sue butler, Fort Mitchell, Ala., and Mrs. Edna Wood, San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Robert Spann and Fred Spann, both of Phenix City; 17 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
