Friday Morning, September 4, 1933 Woman Dies from Burns Mrs. J.M. Story, 28, Passes Thursday as Results of Accident Mrs. Nina Inez Story, 28, wife of J.M. Story, of Floyd road, died at city hospital at 5:45 o'clock Thursday afternoon as the results of burns which she suffered in an accident at her residence Tuesday morning. Mrs. Story was severly burned when her clothing caught fire as her husband threw some kerosene on a fire in effort to build up the flames. She was taken to the hospital after the accident, arriving there about 5:30 o'clock. Her condition was not considered critical on Tuesday, but the burns proved fatal yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Story was burned on her face and practically over her entire body. Her husband was slightly burned in fighting the flames. Besides her husband, Mrs. Story is survived by two sons, Robert and James Story; one daughter, Margaret Story; her mother Mrs. R.N. Fuller, and two brothers; Marvin and Bernard Fuller, all of Columbus. The body was removed to the D.A. Striffler funeral home pending funeral arrangements. Funeral services for Nina Inez Story, whose death occured at the city hospital Thursday afternoon were held from the D.A. Striffler funeral Chapel Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock with Dr. L.A. Henderson, pastor of the Rose Hill Baptist church, officating. Joe McCook sung two selections: "Asleep in Jesus" and "Does Jesus Care?". The Following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Clyde Taff, Cecil Langford, Johnnie Massey, Jack Slayton, W.F.Gibson and James Bigham. Interment was in Riverdale cemetery.
