Ware took place from the Presbyterian church at 3:30 o'clock Sunday evening. The services were conducted by Rev. Walker Lewis and were largely attended by the friends and acquaintances of the deceased. The following gentlemen were the pall-bearers: Col. W S Shepherd, T S Spear, Wm. Redd, sr., G E Thomas, jr., B H Hudson and Thos Chaffin. Death of Mrs. Dr. James L. Ware The intelligence of the death of Mrs. Dr. James L. Ware in Columbus, Ga, at 10p.m. Friday night, brought grief to the hearts of very many friends in this city where she was so well known and sincerely loved. The deceased had been an invalid many months, and bore her long affliction with the fortitude that ever sustains the true Christian. But three months ago her noble hearted husband preceded her to the spirit land, and now, after her long struggle "for life with death," she has yielded to the inexorable fate of all. She leaves four children, a son and three daughters, to mourn their now double bereavement. She was long a member of the Presbyterian church, and throughout her connection with it, her life was the exemplification of the true Christian and the humble believer in the precious atonement of the Savior. Mrs. Ware was a devoted wife, a tender and solitious mother and a dutiful daughter. Lovely in character and amiable in disposition, she won many warm friends who knew and loved her for her many noble traits, and whose hearts beat in sympathy for her through her long and weary days of suffering and anguish. In their sad bereavement, the orphan children who are left to remember and cherish her virtues and emulate her example, have the sincere sympathy and condolence of this entire community. Mrs. Ware was a daugher of Dr and Mrs R A. Ware, of Columbus, Ga, where her last hours were soothed by the affectionate ministrations of her devoted parents, brother and sisters. - Advertiser.
