Williams Dies At Columbus Home Columbus, Feb. 1 – William L. Williams, a prominent Columbus citizen, and one of the best known fraternal men in Georgia, was found dead in his home this afternoon. Death was due, it is thought, to acute indigestion. He attended a lodge meeting last night and apparently was in his usual health. Mr. Williams was 53 years of age and an officer of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Georgia. He had been very prominent and active in Masonic affairs in Columbus for years and for the past eight years had been a member of the City Council. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Two sisters, Miss Mattie Williams, of Columbus, and Mrs. Stewart Munn, of Atlanta, survive him.
