The Market – A Center of Activity
 

Although the original plan for the city of Columbus showed a market house to be 
located in the middle of Broad at 11th Street, it was built instead on First 
Avenue between 10th and 11th streets. And as this photo indicates, it was 
definitely the center of produce purchasing.
