Land Brown Photo Album Name: Mrs. Clara Jones Date Of Photograph: 1940s Photo can be seen at: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/muscogee/photos/jones24607ph.jpg Image file size: 93.9 Kb Mrs. Clara JONES, apparently dressed for church and holding a handbag, stands in a cemetery. This would have been taken in the 1940s. The identification is per my father, Ernest C. LAND, Sr. (1924-2009), who must have known this woman, probably from Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Double Churches, but I don't know much more about her. The photo next to her in my father's photo album is of a soldier in uniform whose name was James JONES - perhaps a son? Elsewhere in the album is a studio portrait of a young woman named Mildred JONES. There are at least 13 JONES indvidiuals buried in the Double Churches Cemetery, but this photo does not match up to any graves there. It also does not match any at Shiloh Methodist Cemetery (same vicinity). Additional Comments: I would like to find out at what cemetery this photo was taken and what the family connections of Mrs. Clara JONES are. - jml File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/muscogee/photos/jones24607ph.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
