Singleton from Muscogee County, GA courthouse, Civil Minutes Book No. 1, page 280: Viola V. Singleton vs Jonathan T. Singleton: Libel for Divorce. August Term Muscogee Superior Court. Decree for Both Parties, August 3, 1908. The above stated case having been called in its regular order and both parties announcing ready and after hearing the testimony, the jury returned the following verdict: We the jury find that sufficient proofs have been submitted to our consideration to authorize a total divorce in favor of both plaintiff and defendant. That is to say, a divorce a vuiculo matrimoni upon legal principles between the parties. We fix the rights and disabilities of the parties as follows: That plaintiff and defendant both be allowed to marry again and the name of the plaintiff she bore before her marriage, to wit, Viola Cook, be restored to her. Wherefore this being two concurrent verdicts favor a total divorce in the above mentioned case, it is considered and adjudged that said marriage be, and the same is hereby annulled, and a total divorce be granted between the parties with liberty of both plaintiff and defendant to marry again and plaintiff’s name, Viola Cook, is hereby restored to her.
