Item 1: With unshaken faith that I have professed for many years in the ministry of Jesus Christ my redeemer, I feel that for his sake alone my sins have been pardoned, and into his hands who gave it I commit my Soul. My body I desire buried in a christianlike manner. Item 2: I desire that my just debts be paid. Item 3: I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Willie R Estes, for and during her natural life, and to her daughter Mattie C Estes, after her mother’s death, my large silver pitcher now in the possession of my said daughter. Item 4: I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Annie B Miles, my silver tea set. Item 5: I give and bequeath to my grand daughters Willie T Kiddoo and Mary Lee Kiddoo, my silver table spoons, dessert spoon, forks butter knife and also all jewelry I may have at the time of my death. Item 6: I desire and direct that all my property real personal and mixed that I may own at the time of my death not heretofore disposed of be divided into three equal parts and for this and all other purposes directed by this will , my executor hereinafter named, shall have power in his discretion, to sell any or all of my property for cash or on credit at public or private sale without any order of any court. Item 7: I give, bequeath and divide to my daughter Willie R Estes her heirs and assigns forever in fee simple one equal share in the residue of my estate described in Item Sixth of my will. Item 8: I give, bequeath and divide to my grand daughters Willie T Kiddoo and Mary Lee Kiddoo, their heirs and assigns forever in fee simple one equal share in the residue of my estate described in Item Sixth of my will. Item 9: I give, bequeath and divide to my grand daughter Annie B Miles and my grand sons Robt T. Miles and Albert E Miles, one equal share of the residue of my estate and as these grandchildren are now minors and for their support and education will need different and varying amounts I hereby empower, authorize and request my Executor and the guardian of said grandchildren hereinafter name to use any or all of the ______ of this one third of the said residue described in Item Sixth of this will to support and educate said minors without obtaining an order from any court and in the said guardians discretion to use as much of the said ______ with profits thereof as he may deem necessary for one or more said grandchildren it being the best interest hereof that this and not to _____ equal share of said one third of residue that it is to be so used by said guardian as to provide for the one whose circumstances requires more in said guardians discretion the most and his discretion shall continue until the youngest arrives at age or dies and if any amount should be left when all arrive at age then that amount shall be divided between the three as such as survive or have descendants, the descendant standing in the place of the ancestor. I nominate and appoint Wm D Kiddoo guardian of the property of item ninth of this will bequeathed and divided to my three grandchildren herein named with all the power discretion therein set forth. Item 11: I nominate and appoint Wm D Kiddoo executor of this my last will and testament and it shall not be necessary for him to have any appraisement of my estate but he may make and inventory thereof under his own hand. He shall make my such ________ to the Court as he shall deem _______. Wharley named as a witness to the _______writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Harriet C Thornton deceased who being duly sworn deposes and says that he with Jos S Harrison and R H Estes did on the 13th day of April 1893 attest and witness the writing in the presence of Mrs. Harriet C Thornton who in the presence of each of said witnesses signed the same and requested each of same to witness same as her will and each did sign the same as witnesses in her presence and at her special instance and request and in the presence of each other and at the time of said signing and attestation the said Harriet C Thornton was of sound and disposing mind and memory and signed the same voluntarily and without any compulsion whatsoever.
