On Hwy 11 in Newton County, near Jasper County line - 
borders the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center property.

Additional Comments:
Cindy Higgins, daughter of Joseph M. Digby, is working on this list and hopes 
to have it complete by the end of 2007.
Other websites list the following individuals as buried at Tabernacle, but I 
(Cindy) have not personally confirmed it yet:
Robert Littleton Johnston, b. Nov 12, 1859, d. Oct. 25, 1941
Frances Barker Johnston, b. Oct 24, 1863, d. June 5, 1940
Robert Johnston was the brother of Frank Johnston and the uncle of Cleo 
Johnston Digby.  Frank Johnston is definitely buried at Tabernacle, but in an 
unmarked grave.  I hope to identify it this year with the help of relatives 
and mark it somehow.
Other websites list Tabernacle Cemetery as being in Jasper County, but if you 
consult online maps it appears to be entirely in Newton County.  This summer I 
intend to check the plat at the Newton County courthouse to confirm that the 
cemetery lies completely within Newton County, and to make sure that the large 
section of unmarked graves are included in the official area of the cemetery.
