William Wallis

Letters Testamentary

Newton County, Georgia

By the Honorable the Court of Ordinary for said County. 
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME--GREETINGS:
KNOW YE, That on the Fifth day of May in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred 
forty five the Last Will and Testament of William Wallis deceased, was 
approved, and allowed of; the said William Wallis having in his lifetime, and 
at the time of his death, divers goods, rights, and credits, within the county 
aforesaid; by means whereof, the approbation and allowing of his Testament, 
and the power of granting the administration of all and singular the goods, 
rights, and credits of said deceased, and his Testament, any manner or way 
concerning, to the said Court does of right belong--They have, therefore, 
granted and committed the administration of all and singular, the estate 
aforesaid, and his Testament unto Sarah Wallis nominated Executix of the said 
deceased, in his Last Will and Testament, She, being first sworn on the Holy 
Evangelists of Almighty God, well and faithfully to administer, and make a 
perfect inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels, and credits of the 
said deceased, and exhibit the same in the Clerk of the Court of Ordinary's 
Office, in the county aforesaid, in order to be recorded, on or before the 
fifth day of August next ensuing, and to render a just and true account, 
calculation, and reckoning, when thereunto required.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have officially set my hand and seal this fifth day of 
May eighteen hundred and forty five and Sixty ninth year of American Indepen-
dence.
