Evans, Clerk Additional Comments: This transcription was a “labor of love” and it is hoped that this file will help those who are seeking records for their personal family history research. A copy of this actual handwritten record was made at the Salt Lake City Utah LDS Library by a hired research group, and then purchased and transcribed by myself, TJ Malone. It was then proof read by Fred Malone. Every effort has been made to interpret the document correctly, though some mistakes may have occurred due to the documents condition, as well as the difficulty in reading the old handwriting. I have added punctuation marks, words in parentheses, and the capitalization of all surnames to help the reader to better understand the document. Please report any errors to me personally by email. The Ira E. Farmer, mentioned in this record is my 3rd Great Grandfather. He is also a brickwall in my Farmer family research. Ira was born circa 1806, in North Carolina. The exact county of NC is yet unknown as well as the proven names of his parents and his siblings. However, it is my theory that the James Farmer, John Farmer, Roda Gardener, wd., and Anna Farmer mentioned in this record may very well be the siblings of Ira E. Farmer. It’s also my unproven theory that the James Farmer, R.S. that drew land in the 1827 Georgia Land Lottery while living in Henry County, GA is the father of my Ira E. Farmer and his possible mentioned siblings. I’m not at all sure, but would love to know how the William Mays, Isaac Reeves, and Francis A. Morris connects with this Farmer family. If you are a descendant of this Farmer family, a descendant of any of the other names mentioned in this document, or if you have information/records that might help with this family research and proving, then please, feel welcomed to contact me.
