Tucker, Richardson, Texas, Jan, 2002 Deed: Samuel/David Thompson and William Thompson Newton Co, Ga Deed Book G Page 340 Date 18 May 1839 This indenture made this second day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one between Samuel Thompson and David Thompson administrators of the Estate of Wm Thompson late of said State and county deceased of the one part and William Thompson of the same State and County of the other part. Witnesseth, that whereas by virtue of an order granted by the Honorable the Court of ordinary of said County, on the first Monday in November last to the said Samuel and David Thompson to sell a tract of land belonging to said Estate situated lying and being in said State and county, known and distinguishable by Lot No 3 three in the Eighth district of originally Henry County now Newton County and after the same was duly administered in the public {Gazette?} of this state, in conformity to the law the same was put up and exposed to public sale to the highest bidder at the door of the Court House of said county within the legal hours of sale on the first Tuesday in November by the said Samuel and David Thompson administrators as aforesaid when the same was knocked off to the said William Thompson at the price or sum of thirteen hundred and six dollars, he being the highest bidder. Now for and in consideration of the sum of thirteen hundred and six dollars in hand paid to the said Samuel and David Thompson by him the said William Thompson at and before the end delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said Samuel and David Thompson Administrators as aforesaid hath granted, bargained, and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto him the said Wm Thompson the before named and bargained land with all the improvements and appurtenances thereunto belonging as in anywise appertaining unto him the said William Thompson and his heirs and assigns to his and their own proper use and benefit and behoof, forever in fee simple. And the said Samuel and David Thompson administrators as aforesaid the before named land with all the improvements unto and appurtanances there unto belonging or anywise appertaining unto him the said William Thompson and his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend the legal rights and equitable title against ourselves and all and every other person or persons whatever as far as in law or equity we may be bound to do as administrators as aforesaid. In witness whereof the said Samuel and David Thompson administrators as aforesaid hath hereunto set our hands and affixed our seal, the day and date before written.
