This was the celebration of the 93rd birthday of Mrs. Elizabeth Hurst, mother of Mrs. Wm. Adams. About 200 blood relations of this faithful old Mother in Israel honored the occasion with their presence. There was a feast spread at noon and all enjoyed the magnificent dinner. After dinner Mr. Perkins, of Covington, took a photograph of the immediate family of Mrs. Hurst, numbering about 100 persons. A picture was also taken of Mrs. Adams ten handsome healthy, hearty sons. At the close of the day’s festivities Elder David Hitchcock invoked the blessings of the Lord upon the entire household of faithful Mother Hurst and preached a pointed sermon, which was followed by an impressive religious discourse from Elder M. F. Hurst. This pleasant occasion, with all its delightful features will live in memory and grow brighter as each year departs down the rugged isle of Time.
