T. Smith, has on exhibition at the drug store one of the most peculiar and remarkable eggs ever produced in Covington. The egg is the size of an ordinary egg, and has the same shape. But the remarkable thing about it is that the large egg is covered with small ones which can be seen with the necked eye; and it is estimated that there are not less than 1000 of them. When put under the power of a microscope, those tiny eggs appear in perfect shape, but vary in sizes. They are hard to break, and when broken they seem to contain nothing. The egg was laid by a white Wyandotte in her second year. Mr. Smith will send the egg to the Smithsonian Institute Washington, D. C.
