Dr. J. A. Wright lost his fine watch, an elegant ring and about $70.00 in money. Mr. J. T. Wright was relieved of his watch and several dollars in hard cash, while Mr. H. S. Hammond lost his gold watch, a valuable ring and some money. Lights were burning in all the rooms and the thief must have took his time as the watches were detached from their chains and not a cent of money was left in any of the pockets. All the clothes were found in the hall Sunday morning. It is supposed that the thief entered by the back door, which was unlocked, and left by going out of the front door. As yet no arrests have been made and suspicion points to no particular party or parties. We sympathize with our friends in the unfortunate loss they have sustained at the hands of a midnight thief.
