The Georgia Enterprise October 16, 1868
     In our notice of the killing of Mr. MAL CHEEK, week before last, we 
stated, as we were then informed, that he was killed by Mr. McGinnis. From the 
verdict of the Coroner’s inquest, we learn that the deceased came to his death, 
by a pistol shot and gunshot, fired from the hands of some unknown persons. Of 
course, we take pleasure in correcting our erroneous statement, as no injustice 
to Mr. M. was designed.
