The Georgia Enterprise January 3, 1889
     Our old friend, Mr. GEORGE M. T. BOWER, is a candidate for Justice of the 
Peace for the 462nd District, G. M. He is a gentleman of education and learning 
and if elected will discharge the duties of the office faithfully and 
efficiently. For 48 years he has made his home in this community, and for 30 
years he has been our friend and neighbor, and during that long period he has 
been faithful in every duty and true to every trust. The election comes off 
Saturday next, Jan. 5th. Let every voter in the district cast a ballot at this 
election, for two good men are already in the race and there may be more. Don’t 
fail to remember that the successful candidate will be entitled to a term  of 
office of four years duration. Mr. BOWER would appreciate the assistance and 
votes of his friends and fellow-citizens, and would be thankful for the same.
