We are glad to learn that Mr. W. H. Ellington of Gum Creek, is prospering in his new home. The article follows: "The Enterprise finds that it is impossible without a larger staff to keep up with the new comers and investors. We learned by accident this morning that three splendid and representative farmers, Mr. S. O. Cook, of Covington, Mr. James Davis, of Mansfield, and Mr. Joseph Hollis, of Social Circle, have all invested in farm property here this week." "Mr. Ellington tells us that when these gentlemen left middle Georgia some of their friends jeered at them and expressed surprise at the indication of such poor business judgement, and the gentlemen stated that they were coming to see those things about which they had read so much, with the result above stated." "The Enterprise welcomes these new citizens, and while they find real estate much higher than it was a few years ago, the prices have just started up and they will realize before they raise one year's crops that they have a large profit. We have had great confidence in real estate values in Irwin county for several years and we do not believe the prices are near the top yet."
