V. JOHNSON, the Oxford student who so dangerously shot himself last week, has been convalesing, and it is thought that he will recover. Dr. Westmoreland, of Atlanta, was called in last Friday, and his opinion is that the life of the boy will be saved, but at the loss of his eyes, and to some extent his mind will be impaired. Dr. Westmoreland is of the opinion that the ball did not penetrate the brain as was first thought, and ventures the assertion that a better place could not have been picked out to insure the preservation of the boy's life, although the ball entered the temple and made its exit through the left frontal bone. This is in the same issue of The Georgia Enterprise. H. V. Johnson, the Emory college student who attempted suicide last week, is still alive with hope of his recovery.
