N. Pitts is selling his stock of new goods very cheap. ~Dr. J. S. Wilson, of Atlanta, has purchased a dairy farm in this city. ~Persons who desire to place tombstones over their beloved dead should call on J. S. THOMAS. ~Capt. A. J. WEBB will take pleasure in letting you have one of the noted Hancock plows. ~Remember that J. S. THOMAS has the finest marble tombstones ever brought to this market. ~A dog said to be mad, bit a Negro boy by the name of PEYTON BURNAP, in this city one day last week. ~DAVID WHITE, a aged citizen of Henry County, is in very feeble health and his mind is fast failing him. ~Capt. HAMP BRYANS, of Henry County, will make his future home in Conyers. ******************************************************************************** HOME AND OTHER AFFAIRS ~Barrel Pickles, Fresh and Fine, to arrive this week at W. S. STALLINGS. ~O. L. STROUD, of Centerville, has sold his land and will make Texas his future home. ~We dislike to dun our patrons but the meal tub at our home is most empty and the poor house is too lonely a place for an editor to spend the winter. ~Major W. H. SMITH has been appointed postmaster of Atlanta in the place of COV? CONLEY who was discharged some time since. ~Roads Magic Scale at Mrs. WHITE’S and Mrs. MELTON’S.
