HARRIS was on the sick list part of last week. ~Judge EDWARDS attended court at Island Shoals, Tuesday. ~Mrs. P. REYNOLDS will make her home at Edgewood after this year. ~Hon. N. J. HAMMOND left for Washington D. C., on Monday last. ~JOHN C. FLOWERS has taken charge of the Floyd Mill. ~THOMAS ELLIOTT, of Rockdale County is reported to be very sick. ~The Conyers Weekly says it will not support Col. LIVINGSTON as a candidate for Congress. ~Elder WILLIAM ADAMS has now about recovered from a severe spell of sickness. ~A large lot of Clothing to be closed out at or below cost, by A. E. MCDONALD. Call and examine. ~THOMAS A. PERRY speaks of making his future home in Florida. ~Uncle JIM CRAWFORD claims to be the best horse back rider in his district. ~Col. A. S. FLORENCE, of Social Circle, gets a very fair practice in the courts of this county. ~J. J. DEARING has a complete stock of new goods that are being sold very low. ~Our old friend, M. B. FOWLER continues to turn out the best of flour at his Midway Mills. ~Capt. JAMES M. LEVY has now moved to his new place on McDonough Street. ~Dr. J. C. CLARK writes that he is well pleased with what he has seen of Texas. ~Miss MATTIE CALLAWAY returned to her home near Lexington Saturday last. ~Rev. HENRY QUIGG, of Conyers spent several days in our city last week. ~Judge JOHN WOODSON is enjoying moderate health at the Poor House. ~Judge MCCORMICK NEAL has been traveling through the Northeast Georgia counties. ~Mrs. Dr. BROWN and daughter reached their Florida home safe and in good health. ~Prof. SMITH closes his school at Snapping Shoals today. He will teach elsewhere next year. ~THOMAS C. SWANN, wife and little girl are visiting relatives in Oxford, Miss. ~W. J. GREEN is the only one that has a license to sell pistols and dirks. Give him a call, if you want anything in that line. ~W. B. WORD thinks that McDonough has done without a town hall long enough and proposes to fit up one at an early day. ~Go to A.E. MCDONALD’S and get ladies cloaks, shawls, dress goods, etc. cheaper than anywhere in the city.
