The Georgia Enterprise August 21, 1890
     Grandmother Treadwell, mother of Mrs. M. A. Peek, is perhaps the oldest 
person in the county, being near 100 years of age. She is nearly blind still 
her hearing is good, and she can hide the half of a good sized melon without 
the least inconvenience.
