J. DEARING. ~Commissioner of Agriculture, HENDERSON, was in town Monday. He improves in looks and increases his popularity as the years come and go. ~Mrs. HORACE J. BATES is visiting her mother, who lives in Alabama. We hope this good lady will have a delightful time during her stay abroad. ~Mr. MID SOCKWELL has opened a saloon in the rear room of T. N. PITTS building. Dr. PITTS will continue in the front room and not be connected in any way with the formers business. ~W. J. GREEN, the “Leader of Low Prices,” has just received a car load of trunks, and will sell his friends who anticipate moving west, large packing trunks at 25 per cent, less than his neighbors. Call and use them. ~A Negro boy walked off with a package of valuables belonging to ADDISON HARPER on Sunday last. Add waltzed the moke around town by the ear until the hiding place of the package was made known and returned.
