The Georgia Enterprise January 3, 1889
~Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Corley, Jr., gave an elegant sociable and supper to their 
young friends on the evening of Dec. 28th.

~Miss Lizzie Galdin, a fascinating beauty from Carrolton, has been on a visit 
to Miss Tabitha Speer, of Cedar Shoals district.

~Rev. W. H. Speer, has been on a visit to the scenes of his young manhood days, 
in Cedar Shoals district. He will be stationed at Whitesburg this year.

~The members of St. James Methodist Church, in Augusta, gave their new Pastor, 
Rev. R. J. Bigham a hearty greeting and a warm generous welcome last Sunday.

~Messrs. James A. Farmer, Charles S. Jarboe and Isaac W. Meadors left on a 
business visit for New York City Monday night. They will be absent ten or 
fifteen days.

~A delightful time and an elegant supper was given the children, teachers and 
friends of the Presbyterian Sunday School at the hospitable residence of Mr. 
and Mrs. D. A. Thompson, Tuesday night.
