T. Corley, Jr., gave an elegant sociable and supper to their young friends on the evening of Dec. 28th. ~Miss Lizzie Galdin, a fascinating beauty from Carrolton, has been on a visit to Miss Tabitha Speer, of Cedar Shoals district. ~Rev. W. H. Speer, has been on a visit to the scenes of his young manhood days, in Cedar Shoals district. He will be stationed at Whitesburg this year. ~The members of St. James Methodist Church, in Augusta, gave their new Pastor, Rev. R. J. Bigham a hearty greeting and a warm generous welcome last Sunday. ~Messrs. James A. Farmer, Charles S. Jarboe and Isaac W. Meadors left on a business visit for New York City Monday night. They will be absent ten or fifteen days. ~A delightful time and an elegant supper was given the children, teachers and friends of the Presbyterian Sunday School at the hospitable residence of Mr. and Mrs. D.
