A. Wander, of our city. ~The Georgia railroad has won a case at law. Wilkes court refused damages to T. M Green for mules killed by that road Tuesday. ~Let every mason in Newton attend the meeting of Golden Fleece Lodge on Friday night. Work in the Master’s degree, and exemplification of the work by Col. Larshe, of Atlanta. ~Rev. Tony Baker reports that Bethlehem Covington colored Baptist Church raised $20.00 Sunday to pay for repairs on their church, of which he is the efficient and worthy pastor. ~Bring your gins, engines and other machinery to the Covington Machine Works at once so they can be put in perfect order before the rush in such work commences.
