Childs-Steadman
  On Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Mr. Walter W. Childs, of Newborn,
and Mrs. Maggie Steadman, of Covington, were married at the Baptist 
parsonage, Rev. B.W. Collier officiating.
  The impressive ceremony which made them man and wife was witnessed
only by a few relatives and friends.
  After the ceremony the bridal party drove through to Newborn where
they will be at home to friends in the future.
  Mr. Childs is well known in Newton county and very popular. Mrs.
Childs is a lady of culture and a christian worker and for years had
been prominent in church work.
