SPEIR-GARNER
  Miss Bertha Speir and Mr. John Garner were quietly married at Salem,
Saturday afternoon at two o'clock.
  Her sister, Miss Rosia Nell, and Mr. Chester White went with them.
  The bride and groom left for Canton Wednesday morning to visit the
groom's parents. They will make their home with the bride's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Speir.
