N. Stanton, which occurred at Social Circle Thursday of last week. The marriage came in the nature of a surprise to many, altho the young people had been attached for some time. Thursday last Mr. Stanton drove over to the residence of Miss Barrett at Jersey, ostensibly for the purpose of taking her to ride. Going direct to Social Circle the happy couple were made one. The Bride is the daughter of Mr. Chas. R. Barrett, postmaster at Jersey, member of the firm of Barrett Bros. & Allen, and one of Walton's most prominent citizens. She is a young lady of sweet disposition and lovable character, and accomplished, cultured and refined, is very popular among a large number of friends. The groom is the son of Mr. G. B. Stanton, of Social Circle, and is one of the most prominant young business men of his town, a young man of splendid character and excellent business qualifications.
