Dearing celebrated the first anniversary of their happy marriage on the evening of the 11th. Their new residence, on Floyd Street, was brilliantly lighted, all the rooms and halls on the first floor handsomely decorated with beautiful flowers, ferns, evergreens, etc., and quite a number of friends and relatives were invited to spend the evening with them. An elegant “wedding feast” was spread, appropriate to the occasion, and the bill of fare was full and complete in every particular. It was a magnificent supper enjoyed by all present. The social features of the evening was entertaining and very enjoyable. At the hour of 10 o’clock p. m., congratulations were extended and good byes exchanged. We wish for friend John and his excellent wife many returns of the “happiest of all happy days” to him and to her. Their union has been one of love and harmony, may their future be full of joy, prosperity and contentment.
