The bull formerly belonged to Messrs. Warren & McCord and was not vicious in the least when they had him in town. When friend Joel was attacked he was giving his cattle salt, and all at once the bull made a rush toward him and threw him in the air and then on a shed. Had it not been for a Negro boy, Mr. Hight would doubtless have lost his life. After the assault Mr. Charlie Hight killed the bull by shooting it with a Winchester Rifle.
