The Georgia Enterprise September 4, 1890
     Mr. Robert Borders lost the index finger from his right hand at the new 
brick ginnery near the depot Thursday. This is the first gin accident of the 
season, it occurred on the first day the gin was operated and the first day 
that Mr. Borders commenced to work.
