THOMPSON, deceased, applies for leave to sell the land belonging to said orphans and their guardian, jointly, for the purpose of division. DORSETT, Deputy Sheriff, Covington, Dec. 13, 1872. * ADMINISTRATOR’S SALE By virtue of an order of the Court of Ordinary of Newton County, Will be sold at public outcry, to the highest bidder, before the court house door, in the city of Covington, county of Newton, and State of Georgia, on the first Tuesday, in February, 1873, within the legal hours of sale, a tract of land in Newton County, being the place whereon the late BENJAMIN L. MONTGOMERY resided at the time of his death, adjoining the lands of Mrs. Bryant, on the East; the land of B. F. Montgomery, (now owned by Wm. Jay), on the North; the lands of the late Charles Strong, and Mrs. Wallis, on the West; and the lands of Mrs. Colt, on the South; containing Four Hundred (400) acres, more or less. This land will be sold as the property of Benjamin L. Montgomery, deceased, subject to the widow’s Dower, for the purpose of paying the debts of said deceased. Terms, CASH. FOSTER It appearing to the Court by the return of the Sheriff that the Defendant does not reside in this County, and it further appearing that he does not reside in the State. It is on motion ordered that said Defendant appear and answer at the next term of this Court, else that the case be considered in default, and the Plaintiff be allowed to proceed, and that this Rule be published in The Georgia Enterprise, once a month, for four months. F. HERRING’S lot, and East by O. H. TUCKER’S lot, and the public road running in Oxford. The above described land will be sold as the property of NOAH PHILLIPS, deceased, for the purpose of paying debts and distribution amongst the heirs at law. Terms Cash.
