Newton Anderson has had a severe spell of sickness recently, but is now able to be up and about again. It appears somewhat strange to go about the Court House and not see the pleasant and familiar face of the popular and ever accommodating Colonel, and whenever he is sick he has the universal sympathy of our entire people. Although he has passed his three score years and ten, his eye is yet bright, his voice clear and his step elastic, while within his bosom pulsates a heart as true and kind as ever found room in the breast of man. No wonder he is missed when sickness claims him for a victim.
