On Friday evening, at their home, a grand supper and reception was tendered William’s father, James F. Pace and his bride, Dina Watts. There was a large delegation of special friends present and a delightful time experienced. The supper is said to have been the most magnificent ever spread in the colored circles of this city. “Jams” and his family stand well in the community, being honest, industrious and polite. We always take pleasure in saying a good word for those of our colored people who deserve complimentary mention, and there are none more worthy the confidence of the public than James and Willis Pace and their families. Would that the colored people had more representatives like them in every county and state in the union.
