The Georgia Enterprise January 24, 1889
     Mr. Stephen A. Brown has one of the most elegant country store houses in 
the county, located not far from Salem Camp ground, in Stansell’s district. He 
has an extensive stock of goods, and his prices are very reasonable. His right 
hand assistant is Master Lonnie Flowers, who is one of the best salesmen to his 
age in Middle Georgia.
