E. Murphy, in Gainesville. The Judge, though nearly an octogenarian is remarkably well preserved and sprightly, as is Mrs. Glass, who is not many years his junior.” This also from the Constitution: “Miss Maggie Allen, one of the most accomplished young ladies of Covington, has been visiting the city during the week.” Then comes the Jessup Sentinel with this item: “Si Hawkins was taken for Sam Small in St. Louis, and was asked to lead in singing; but when they handed Si a Dutch hymn book, it floored him. He was not Dutchie enough to tackle it.” File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/newton/newspapers/notitle2167nw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
