F. McCord, of West Covington, had a bad fall, from the new factory building, at Porterdale, on Friday morning, but fortunately escaped serious injury. He fell a distance of 35 feet, and landed on a pile of broken rock and gravel, which had been freshly piled up, and was soft enough to prevent his sustaining any more serious injury than a sprained ankle and a few bruises. Dr. J. C. Clark was telephoned for, and hurried to his relief, but soon found he was not seriously injured. His escape from instant death was most miraculous.
