Bagby went to the back door of W. B. Lee & Bro's., store to gain admittance for the purpose of purchasing an article of merchandise. After shaking the door a few times and failing to attract any attention he gave it a kick with his left foot, which discharged a trap gun inside placed there for burglars. Four buckshot entered Mr. Bagby's right leg, between the ankle and knee, making a painful but not neccessarily dangerous wound. He walked over to his saloon where his assistant, Mr. McJunkin, bathed the wounds and emptied the blood from his shoe, after which Mr. B. went home where every attention would be paid him. He was compelled to go to bed and it may be several days before he can leave his room, being a one-arm man it will be impossible for him to use crutches. The accidental shooting of Mr. Bagby is generally regretted and by none more than the Messrs. Lee and their gentlemanly clerks. We hope he will recover rapidly and soon be out again. At this writing he is getting along finely. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
