Georgia Enterprise
  A most disastrous fire occurred two miles from Covington, on Saturday night,
by which the large barn and stables of Messrs. Bagby & Speer were entirely 
destroyed, together with eleven fine mules, a wagon, one ton of hay, 300
bushels of peas, and a large number of farm tools.
  The fire occurred between 11 and 12 o'clock Saturday night, and was not 
discovered until it was to late to save the mules or anything else in the 
building.
  The building was the one used as the home for convicts when they were employed
on the farm, but since they were sent away the lower part had been being used as
a stable, and was occupied on Saturday evening, for the first time, for that
purpose.
  The loss is about $2,500, with no insurance.
  It falls heavily upon Messrs. Bagby & Speer, and they have the sympathy of our
entire community in their misfortune.
  It seems like misfortunes come thick and fast upon these gentlemen, as they
were but recently broken up in their business in Covington, and had just moved 
out to their farm since Christmas.
