The Georgia Enterprise
Covington, Ga., July 18, 1874
  This being the day set apart by the Young Guards, Co., H, 3d, Ga. Reg't., to
meet for the purpose of organizing, for the reunion of said Regiment at Union
Point, on the 30th and 31st, of July inst.
  It was on motion of Joe Harris, carried that James M. Levy, set as chairman
and A. C. McCalla requested to act as Secretary.
  James M. Levy then stated the object of the meeting as above.
  Communicatons from Col. Claiborn Sneed, of Augusta, Ga. and Capt. D. N. 
Sanders, were on motion read.
  On motion of A. C. McCalla, the members present were requested to hand in 
their names to the Secretary.
  On motion of Jas. DeLaney, members of other Companies of the Regiment, were
requested to participate with us.
  On motion of Joe Harris, all members likely to go to the reunion were 
enrolled.
  On motion of Jas. DeLaney, Tan Harralson was authorized and commanded to take 
his spider, and  that A. C. McCalla prepare an oration on English Coffee.
  Joe Harris moved that a committee of one be appointed by the Chair to confer
with Col. Sneed, as to arrangements.
  It was further moved that J. M. Levy, Chairman, be that committee.
  Moved and carried that the Company start on the morning of the 30th inst.,
for Union Point.
  Moved that Jas. DeLaney be authorized to prepare badges for the occasion.
  Moved and carried that each member be requested to provide himself with two 
days rations, blanket, canteen, etc.
  On motion the Georgia Enterprise was requested to publish these proceedings.
  Adjourned to meet again at Union Point on the 30th inst.
