JONES, was badly burned by the explosion of a carb?? of sulphuric acid. His clothes and shoes were burned nearly off, and great fear was entertained that his eyes were so seriously injured as to cause total blindness. He is improving rapidly, and there is no danger of his losing his eyesight. His physicians report that he will be well enough in a few days to cheer his many friends with his usual genial smile.
