She was at work in the spinning room, when a shafting from above fell and struck her on the forehead, inflicting a wound four or five inches in length. At first it was thought that her skull was broken, but upon examination by Dr. J. Thomas, who was immediately summoned, it was found that it was only a flesh wound, but was quite paiful indeed to the little one.
