Robert Ulla Hardeman, a member of the lower branch of the legislature, have been engrossed on a large parchment and also been signed by the members of the memorial committee from both houses. The memorial pays a beautiful tribute to the memory of "Uncle Bob," as he was familiarly known by every one, and sets forth the long and faithful service he rendered the state in the capacity of treasurer, a position he held with honor for many years. Uncle Bob became a great favorite with his colleagues during his service in the legislature, and the tribute paid him by them is such as only loving friends are capable of tendering. The parchment will be appropriately framed and sent to Mr. Hardeman's family, who reside in Newton county. The work of preparing the parchment was in the hands of the Hon. Mark A. Hardin, the clerk of the house of representatives.
