Georgia Enterprise
     Mr. Joseph Sockwell, one of the oldest and best known men in Newton 
county, received a fall while going down the front steps at his home, 4 miles 
from town, on Friday, and injured one of his hips so seriously that he had to 
go to bed. He is now about 85 years old and being in feeble health, it is 
feared that he will never again be able to be up and about. We hope our old 
friend will recover from the injuries received and that the Lord will spare him 
to his people for at least a few years more.
