S. M. Maxey’s house which is located about one and a half miles from town was burned to the ground about 3 o’clock Thursday morning. The family moved about a month ago, and are now living with her mother, Mrs. Petty. At the time of the burning, the family had some one sleeping in the house. The house was a comparatively new one, and carried insurance to the amount of $500.
