The Georgia Enterprise

  Jim Leverett, a young white man eighteen years of age was accidently
killed by a discharge of his gun Tuesday near Alcova Mountain. He was
out shooting crows and in getting over the fence the hammer of his gun
struck a rail, the entire load entering his stomach. He lived but a 
short while.
