Tom Long, of Monroe, who was serving a life sentence for murder. It will be remembered that Long in 1900 was tried in the Courts of Walton County and sentenced to imprisonment for life. We learn that Long's health was very bad and that he was physically unable to do any work, and it was upon these grounds that the pardon was issued. He is well known here and at Monroe.
